At Hilltop Dogs we pride ourselves on providing a professional home from home doggy day care and overnight boarding environment where dogs can build friendships, enjoy enrichment activities and grow in confidence. We are a family run business with more than 20 years of experience with dogs.
We understand life can be busy and complicated, which is why we help make things easier on you and your fur family. We care for your dog as if they were our own.
Our Dog Day Care and Home Dog Boarding customers are from Basingstoke, Reading, Newbury, Winchester, Southampton and as far away as London.
We also have international clients that use us when they in the UK or travelling globally.
We understand the importance of providing your pet with a safe and secure environment. To ensure our VIP guest's at Hilltop are fully taken care of, we offer day care to small and medium dogs only.
This help's create an atmosphere where they can relax and be surrounded by similarly sized dogs that need similar levels of attention – all with their safety as top priority!
At Hilltop Dogs your dog will have access to a dedicated 255sqm indoor dog enrichment and snooze room, PLUS outdoor access to half an acre of garden with play equipment, all surrounded by a 6ft fence.

Your dog is part of your family, but when you go on holiday, they can't always go with you. Rather than put your dog in kennels, give them a holiday at Hilltop Dogs!
We do not provide food and ask owners to bring along familiar food – an abrupt diet change can often lead to tummy troubles or other unpleasantness. We will provide the treats and bedtime biscuits!

Our Doggy Day Care and Overnight Boarding services are in high demand and we have limited spaces, so please book well in advanced to avoid disappointment.
Check available dates and book the dates you require. *No payment will be taken at this stage. Spaces are limited so if you are genuinely interested don't delay in booking!
Once we have received confirmation of the dates you require, we will invite you to a free Meet and Greet at a convenient time. This allows you to see our home, what we have to offer and gives us the opportunity to assess your dogs suitability to the doggy day care environment. We will discuss Dog Day Care and Overnight Dog Boarding.
On completion of a successful Meet and Greet, we will send you a link to our online portal where you can create an account and upload your information.
Please ensure ALL information in your online account is complete, this ensures we are 100% compliant with our licencing requirements and that we are able to provide your dog with the best care in the world!

Intact Male Dogs and Unneutered Female Dogs
We know that not everyone is comfortable neutering their dogs so we don’t enforce it and manage it on a case by case basis.
Intact dogs over the age of one year will be assessed and monitored to ensure that there are no unwanted behaviours or disruption within the group. However, if intact dogs show any sexualised behaviour, we may ask that you stop sending them until they have been neutered.
Bitches on heat should never be sent to day care. As well as the risk of unwanted pregnancy, her pheromones can have a significant impact on the other dogs, even if they have been neutered. This can lead to unwanted attention for her, or even aggression amongst dogs.
If you are unsure about your dog's suitability, please contact us, and we will be happy to discuss if we can accommodate your needs.
PROOF OF VACCINACTION: Please ensure your dog is up-to-date on vaccinations and send us proof prior to arrival. Please also show the vaccination certificate upon arrival. Written proof from a veterinarian of titre testing showing sufficient antibodies can also be accepted. Titre tests must be completed annually and will only be accepted alongside a up-to-date Leptospirosis vaccination.
HOME BOARDING: To ensure the wellbeing of all our guests, we recommend a Kennel Cough vaccine administered at least two weeks prior to boarding. This live virus vaccine has been proven to protect other dogs from possible risk for up to 14 days post-administration.
Keep your dog healthy and free of parasites by ensuring their flea/worming treatments are up-to-date. If we discover any fleas during your dog's stay, treatment will be administered at an additional charge applied.
The health and wellness of your dog is important to us. Should they require veterinary care, we will do our best to contact your usual vet. If not, we'll use our own registered vet so that your dog can be back on their paws quickly.
If your dog requires regular medication, we can administer this free of charge.
